Triangular Potion Locket

$ 425.00

A wearable piece of art, to keep your potions, love notes, secrets, herbs or whatever else you want to keep safe and close by.

Part of a series of three, these container necklaces were inspired by poison rings- rings with secret compartments used to hide poison in plain sight. The patterns, which were etched onto brass then embossed onto silver, creating the texture and pattern on the exterior, are images of poisons found in nature, like mushroom spores or datura.

This triangular-shaped container is adorned with the pattern of the datura plant. It has a small clasp on the side, to keep it securely closed, and is topped with a small, periwinkle-hued Labradorite. Hung on a sturdy, 28” Sterling Silver chain. The first few links of the chain are handmade, accented with small, faceted Black Spinel gemstones. The chain is finished with a handmade Silver clasp.

We are tremendously proud to carry jewelry by Stray. Portland-based metalsmith, Julie Cron, blends the powerful focal elements of stones with a Bauhausian and almost futuristic use of geometry. These pieces are surely for the Maximalist, but they’re also perfectly stated as to bump up a more minimal outfit look. They are forever-treasures, meant to be heirloomed and maintained…. We’d also describe these pieces as psychic armor for the wearer.
