Mushroom Mug - Introvert Collection Handmade Pottery

$ 75.00

Do you love finding mushrooms and funky fungi when you hike through nature? The damp and dirty forest floor has so much to explore if you look carefully. This thriving cluster of organisms features mushrooms, ferns, and lichen. I wonder what other flora and fauna are hiding just behind them?

Each handmade Introvert mug is lovingly wheel thrown in small batches from speckled tan clay before we sandcarve our original graphics into the glaze layer, exposing the stoneware beneath. Mary Oliver's poetry inspired this moody gray handled mug. The colors in this batch are more green-gray, like the first photos.

These are made in Southeast Portland, Oregon. The beauty of these pieces are their slightly wonky, rustic shapes. Fingerprints, bumps, and other visible characteristics of the mug's handmade nature are seen as charming features, not flaws. Glaze colors and textures may vary from what's shown, as each batch turns out differently. Bases have been sanded smooth to sit soothingly in your hands.

All our mugs are made of lead-free and cadmium-free glazed ceramic, making them dishwasher-safe and microwave-safe. Packed securely in white gift boxes.
